Yoga Nidra or Yogic Sleep is a meditative practice that allows you to become increasingly aware of your body, sensation and inner world. The practice of Yoga Nidra can be utilised as an aid to healing in that the mind can be sent with the attached breath (Pranyama) to deliver energy and light. You will likely experience yourself in a level of consciousness somewhere between wakefulness and sleeping. You may drift in and out of sleep, but that is normal. Your deepest level of consciousness will still be actively listening. This can be done as a one to one therapy or as as a group session.

Gong meditation is a sound therapy practice that involves using a gong or multiple gongs (and Tibetin singing bowls) sounds and vibration to bring about deep relaxation.
The practice is referred to as a gong bath, because participants are bathed in meditation gong sound waves. This can be done as a one to one therapy or as as a group session.
The gong is much more than a musical instrument – it is known to be a most powerful instrument of healing as it releases reverberating tones of fullness and resonance.
The gong bath experience is like being wrapped in a powerful cocoon of pure holistic resonance, enabling the listener to disappear completely in the sound field and resulting in a profound sense of well being and inner peace. People emerge feeling relaxed, re-energised and refreshed.

Melt into this 2 hour mini retreat and find your inner calm. Restorative yoga, meditation and breath work combine to release deep layers of tension and stress. No Yoga experience is required for this blissful workshop.
The ability to totally relax is a great way to manage stress, improve sleep, and aid better well-being and health. We will move through a series of restorative yoga postures, using props and guided breathing techniques to allow the body to truly become calm and unwind from the inside out. Restorative Yoga is very gentle and is about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. It is a powerful tool to restore health and well being; Restorative Yoga is not your "typical fitness yoga". Gentle postures are held for between 2 and 10 minutes. During these long holds your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props such as cushions and blankets, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. During the retreat (in parts) gentle relaxing background music will be played. Towards the end of the retreat there will be a guided meditation connecting to your intuition (Yoga Nidra).
The G.M. YOGA studio is a calm, peaceful place for you to relax. There will be water and fresh juice available if required.

This workshop is for anyone who wants a gentle introduction to Yoga or a refresher after a break from Yoga. The first time we attend a yoga class can be quite scary, with lots of new terms and techniques that teachers sometimes don’t have enough time to explain fully in a one hour class. This workshop aims to take away the mystery and kick start your exploration of the practice. Join me for a three hour Beginner’s Yoga Workshop in which I will guide you through the fundamentals of the Yoga practice so that you can begin your journey with knowledge, insight, and most importantly, confidence.
You will learn about yogic breathing, posture alignment, the use of focus and concentration in Yoga, how to use props and their benefit, learn to be in tune with your mind, body and breath, and the importance and purpose of relaxation. We will work with awareness within your own body limits at all times - seeking to maintain safe practice, in order to gradually build strength, balance and flexibility. I will demonstrate and guide you through the practice of a variety of basic yoga postures, sequences, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to promote mind and body awareness.
You will receive handouts to assist with home practice and to remember sequences.

Meditation Personal Trainers have created a revolutionary programme which brings meditation into the 21st century. As a certified MPT Coach, I will guide you through this proven system: just as we can train the body for safe and effective exercise, so we can train the mind into meditation.
Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique to focus their mind in order to achieve a mental and emotional state of calm. Meditation can be used to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain. If you have ever wanted to learn to meditate and reduce your stress levels now is your chance. There’s no more mysticism or difficulty in learning and practicing meditation than there is any other physical exercise.
Group tuition sessions are very relaxed and informal and are held over a two day period - lasting up to 3 hours each day. There will be a maximum of 4 people at each session, where you will be introduced to four meditation techniques.There will be group discussion and meditation practice by participants of all the techniques to establish which technique suits each individual. I do use a PowerPoint presentation during the tuition to help aid group discussion.
I also offer private one to one courses. The course consists of just three one to one sessions, each lasting approximately one hour. After which you will be ready to "go it alone" and meditate daily (with my continued support if necessary).
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire and medical disclaimer prior to attending, to establish your stress levels, emergency contact details and some medical questions.
Payment and Cancellation Policy Payment is due at time of booking. In case of cancellation, 50% is non-refundable, for cancellations received 8 days or more before the event. Payment is non refundable should you decide to cancel with 7 days or less notice.
