Melt into this 2 hour mini retreat and find your inner calm. Restorative yoga, meditation and breath work combine to release deep layers of tension and stress. No Yoga experience is required for this blissful workshop.
The ability to totally relax is a great way to manage stress, improve sleep, and aid better well-being and health. We will move through a series of restorative yoga postures, using props and guided breathing techniques to allow the body to truly become calm and unwind from the inside out. Restorative Yoga is very gentle and is about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. It is a powerful tool to restore health and well being; Restorative Yoga is not your "typical fitness yoga". Gentle postures are held for between 2 and 10 minutes. During these long holds your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props such as cushions and blankets, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.
The focus in Restorative Yoga is not only to relax, whilst gently stretching and opening the body, but to step away from our frantic lives and go inward - giving you a sense of peace and calm in a busy world - a state of non doing - total relaxation. No Yoga experience is required. During the retreat (in parts) gentle relaxing background music will be played. Towards the end of the retreat there will be a guided meditation connecting to your intuition (Yoga Nidra).
The G.M. YOGA studio is a calm, peaceful place for you to relax. There will be water and fresh juice available if required, and an optional dab of CBD oil if you wish. Some lovely scented candles will fill the room with a lovely aroma
We all have hectic lives in one way or another - how often do you allow yourself the time to just be? The intention of this mini retreat is for you to just let yourself be - to nurture, sooth, and bring comfort and deep relaxation to your mind, body, and spirit.
